Preparation/Integration
We’re so grateful that you’re considering Discover The Root to guide you towards healing and personal discovery. We believe that positive transformation can begin the moment you decide to commit to working with this sacred medicine. To set a strong foundation for you to get the most out of your experience, here are a few simple habits that will help you prepare for your journey:
Gratitude is often associated with greater happiness and may help you attract more freedom and joy into your life. We recommend listing five to ten things you're grateful for each morning and saying them outloud to yourself. An idea to start with is: Thank you for the gift of life.
2. Drink more water and eat whole foods
We all know that drinking water and eating a nutritious diet is necessary for keeping our bodies healthy and functioning at their best. We suggest drinking at least two to three liters of water a day and eating whole, organic foods that are minimally processed. However, there are no dietary requirements for participating.
4. Start moving
Create a regular exercise routine that is enjoyable to you. This could be jogging, walks in nature, gentle yoga, dancing, or any other form of movement that brings you joy.
5. Clear your schedule
Try to reduce the number of responsibilities you have during the week of your retreat. Ideally, you should disconnect from your phone and social media. This can help minimize stress and gives you space to focus on your healing and growth. Remember, this is a week for you.
6. Set clear intentions
What are you looking to heal? What do you wish to discover about yourself and your life? Writing down your desires for the ceremony can help you identify clear targets and get the most out of your experience.
3. Detox
Even if you don’t attend a retreat, abstaining from recreational drugs and alcohol can be life-changing. It does wonders for your mental health and allows your liver to regenerate. We ask all our guests to detox for at least 30 days prior to their visit. If you’re taking any vitamins, medications, or recreational drugs, please inform us in your intake form. Please consult with your doctor if you have any concerns or before stopping or switching any medications.
1. Start your mornings with gratitude
Integration
We encourage you to work with an Integration guide so you can deepen your connection and understanding of yourself. This can help you seamlessly adopt the lessons you’ve learned into your life for lasting positive growth. With an Integration coach, you can find your true self and master the art of living.
